So, rock star is in town tonight.
He’s playing some sort of festival.
We’ve maintained a friendship, over the past few years – when he comes to town, we make an effort to see each other. I brought my sister-in-law the last time he played here, and we hung out with him backstage before and after the show – she was elated to meet him and couldn’t believe how kind and polite he was. He remembered (and asked about) things I had told him two years earlier, which stunned the hell out of me – I can barely remember last week!
I woke up to an email putting me on the Artist Guest List, for tonight’s show – I hadn’t intended on going, but maybe I will. It’s 5am where he is, so I’ll wait to message back.
Dang, it’s Neil Young, right? HF
Nope, but he’s a huge fan of Neil Young…
